Illustration Friday "Surprise"

For me, there is no greater surprise than the birth of your child. I spent the whole of my pregnancy referring to my bump as 'he' or 'him' and when the big day came I realised I had been so wrong when my gorgeous little girl was born. I would never find out the sex beforehand, it would totally spoil the surprise.

I like the style of your illustration here. And yeah, my husband would be reaaaaallly surprised if I told him I was pregnant!!!!
Like the fact that you kept in the sketchy marks, really ads texture to your work.

This is very sweet, The composition and lighting give it such an intimate feeling. The colors are lovely as well. Such a really nice illustration for this week's topic!

What a beautiful illustration. I love the colors and lines. Very nice. And it is funny how you think it is one sex and it turns out different. That happened with one of my children too. And definately there is no greater surprise than the birth of a child.
