I Love Summer

Just look at my sunflower?! This makes me so happy I can't tell you. Although I didn't grow it completely from seed (thanks to Karen) I did nurture it to its current full glory and its really cheering up my otherwise barren back garden.
As you can see I am also finally starting to see some results from the tomatoes too. I am really developing a passion for growing stuff, especially the edible things! Thanks for your all of your inspiration and contribution to my small patch of loveliness Karen & Sal!

Sunflowers put smiles on my fave too. Every year I say that I am going to plant sunflowers. For whatever reason it never happens. They are one of my favorite summer flowers.

Your sunflower is lovely!
My yard is so shaded, we can't grow sunflowers. And it sounds like our vegetable patch isn't doing so well due to lack of sunlight (I have to take Aaron's word for it, my foot has prevented me from going outdoors).

I love your sunflower, wish I'd grown some this year - how's the alpine strawberry?

Hello! I love your blog! You are such a clever, creative and fun person! I love the sock money purse - if you have any left let me know - or if you have a scrap of material I would love to add it to my daughter's quilt. Sock monkeys always bring a smile!
